I started photography shooting my kids' sports — I just wanted better photos of them than what everyone else was getting. That was 25 years ago. The passion hasn't changed.

For the last 15 years, I've been the official photographer for the Victoria Grizzlies. I've also shot team photos and portrait sessions for families and sports organizations across Vancouver Island. Whether it's hockey, soccer, or portraits — I'm there for the people first, and the photos follow.

What I love most is meeting someone new and giving them the best photos they've ever had. That's still the thing that gets me up in the morning.

Lighting is everything

Most team photo companies show up with a popup banner and a speedlight. I bring off-camera lighting setups that make athletes look like pros — even on an outdoor field.

Speed without cutting corners

I can shoot 150 athletes in a single session without making it feel rushed. I know how to keep energy high, pose fast, and still get genuine expressions rather than forced smiles.
